Annual Registration is required for ALL student organizations who wish to remain active in the 2026-2027 academic year.  Organizations that have not re-registered prior to the September 30, 2027 registration deadline will become inactive. After the deadline, an organization can still register to regain their active status once they complete all steps for registration. Student organizations must complete all FIVE steps each year to stay active and in good standing with the University.

Once the organization has selected officers...

Step 1: Update the organization's Niner Engage profile/registration form at NinerEngage.charlotte.edu

Step 2: President, Treasurer, and Vice President complete the “Hazing Prevention 101” Course

  • Go to charlotte.prevent.zone
  • Select “Register” in the top right hand corner if you have never registered through the site before. If you have registered through the site before, select “Login”
    • To register
      • Enter in your First Name, Last Name, and UNC Charlotte Email, and 800 number.
      • If you are completing the module as an officer of a fraternity, sorority, or club sport, select the corresponding "Organization Type" option. If you are not representing one of these categories, select “Student Organization”.
  • Select “Hazing Prevention 101 Course - College Edition 2026”
  • Complete the entire course. This should take about an hour in total to complete. You do not have to complete it all in one sitting.
  • You can send them to acholula@charlotte.edu if you experience any difficulties.
  • When completing your re-registration form on Niner Engage, it will ask you to upload all 3 completion certificates for your officers.

**If you have previously completed the “Hazing Prevention 101” course for a student organization, fraternity, sorority, club sport, or athletic team you do not need to repeat the module.

PLEASE NOTE: The Officers that complete the anti-hazing module MUST be listed as the correct Officer positions on your roster in Niner Engage to receive credit for this step.

Step 3: Your organization must have a UNC Charlotte faculty or staff member serving as your Advisor. The Advisor must complete a mandatory advisor training.

Step 4: At least 1 officer per organization must attend a 30-minute check-in meeting with your organization's advisor.

  • These meetings are required for all organizations. If your organization does NOT currently have an advisor, please use one of the links below to schedule a meeting with a student involvement staff member.
  • Sports Clubs: If your organization does not currently have an advisor, please meet with designated UREC Staff
  • Greek Life Organizations: If your organization does not currently have an advisor, please meet with designated OFSL Staff

Step 5: The Student Org President must attend one Presidents' Leadership Workshop.

  • Presidents' Leadership Workshop will help you learn how to lead your student organization, delegate tasks and authority, and learn about the resources and benefits available to you as a registered student organization.
  • The President must be listed correctly on Niner Engage
  • PLWs are offered April - September
  • Following the September 30th registration deadline, the PLW will move to an asynchronous format accessible on this website.

2026-27 Workshops (RSVP on Niner Engage as workshops have limited capacity):

Check your organization's registration status for 25-26

Check your organization's registration status using the charts below. If your organization is highlighted in green, the group has completed the required steps for the Annual Registration process for 2025-26.

If there is a blank box, your organization needs to complete that requirement prior to the September 30 deadline.
